pokémon is a japanese media franchise that includes video games, animated series and films, a trading card game, and more. this tool is intended to be used for calculating the statistics of the over 1000 pokémon that can be found in the core series of video games, from pokémon red released 1996 to pokémon scarlet in 2022.

it is particularly useful for those who utilise emulators to play pokémon games as they are required to simulate the trading of pokémon by editing pokémon save files, part of this process is accurately determining a pokémon's evolved statistics following an artificial trade evolution.

my work on developing a pokémon trading simulator, which expands upon the pokémon statistics calculator solution i had already developed, has been put on hold. this decision was made after discovering that a more comprehensive solution serving the same purpose has already been created. pkmds is a web application that allows users to edit their pokémon save files. it is powered by pkheX.core, a .net core library capable of reading and writing pokémon save files.
